Jogging & Running/hip bursitis now knee problem

am 64 running 15 to 18 miles per week ~ recovering from right hip bursitis ~ sat in car wed morning for 55 minutes  when i  got out of car right knee very stiff ~~ seemed to be better after 2 days ~ started a run this Sat and after 6 minutes knee started to ache ~ stopped run ,iced knee now feels a little numb and ached all last night  . do you feel knee and bursitis are connected

Yes, they probably are connected. What you describe is generically called anterior knee pain (AKP)/patella femoral pain syndrome (PFPS) with associated movie goer's sign. Perform clamshells Stronger hip abductors are very important for both of these pains that you've been having.

Let me know if I can help more.

I can answer questions about pain and training program. If there is a question about running that I don't know then I'll do some research and make sure I provide you with an answer.
