Question Caro Miguel, sou leitor do seu site Allsongslist e quero cumprimentá-lo pelo seu nível de conhecimento sobre Elton.
Estou compilando todas as informações que disponho sobre a vida de Elton desde o seu nascimento e tenho encontrado vários sites com informações diferentes sobre o mesmo assunto. Inicialmente quero ter essas informações em meu computador e posteriormente talvez crie um site sobre Elton.
Tenho muitas perguntas a fazer e esta é a primeira:
Tenho uma copia do DVD "To Russian with Elton" e neste DVD, numa entrevista para uma TV Russa, Elton é questionado se a passagem dele pela Russia poderia influenciá-lo em alguma futura composição. Ele respondeu que sim e que após ter passado por aqui compôs uma música influenciada pelo Brasil.
Que música é essa ?
Eu me lembro que Elton esteve no Brasil para assistir ao desfile de carnaval no Rio de Janeiro e isso já faz muito tempo.
Seria nessa passagem?
Pois o único show realizado aqui foi em 1995 (Made in England Tour).

Yes, Elton found the inspiration in Russia when he wrote "Nikita", the lyrics Bernie penned about a young woman in the other side of the Iron Curtain. Also, his Jamaican visit in 1973 brought "Jamaican Jerk-Off".
That song? I really have no idea, I am afraid. Elton said several times he likes brazilian music and even sang "The Girl From Ipanema" live once, and he is friend of Antonio Carlos Jobim. But I couldn't imagine about which tune he was talking about...
