Question
During Elton John's interview, James Lipton mentioned a song that I have forgotten the name of.  Elton John kindly declined to play it, saying that it was too painful (emotionally).  Do you the name of that song?  Thanks for your consideration.

Answer
Hi Pam,

I watched that interview when it first aired, and I think the song Lipton was talking about was "Empty Garden."  It's about John Lennon and was written right after his death.  The only other one I could think of that Elton would decline to play is "Goodbye England's Rose," the Princess Diana remake of "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road."

I hope this helps!

I am a huge fan of Elton John`s, and take it upon myself to learn as much about him as I can. I know a lot of obscure facts as well as many people associated with Elton over the years. I love to share my knowledge with other Elton fans or just the curious. I`m a dedicated fan...I`ve gotten myself three autographs at concerts, one from as far back as 32 rows! If I don`t know your question, I`ll try to find it!
