About Lucas Werner Expertise Nothing Major. I can discuss issues relating to comics who talk politics.
Experience Years of fandom. An extensive library. A lot of free time. Been to a show or two. Met a few comics. Henry Rollins is a really nice guy. Bob Saget is dirtier live. Jon Stewart wrote a funny book.
Question well me and some of my friends like to joke around and do all kinds of crazy things well one day one of my friends comes up to mr and asks if i want to do a comedian show with him and some of our friends. i dont know if i should do it or not because im not sure if im all that funny or not i just make people laugh naturally. i need help please help me. looking forward to the answer :}
Answer Jesse, you're either funny or you're not. Joking around with friends is one thing, but actually building a rapport with an audience is a completely different ball game. You have to have timing, stamina, patience and the willingness to admit to yourself, "Maybe I'm just not all that funny." Anyone can make someone laugh, Jesse. Start by writing some bits, test them on an audience. Even if you're not the next great comic, you may still go on to do great things. Maybe you'll just wallow in your self defeat and die penniless and alone. I honestly don't know. A lot of people will laugh at your jokes if you're wealthy enough. Think about that. Being rich. Also not a bad thing. Worked out well for a certain Harvard dropout in Washington State...
