Question
Hi Laurie I have a monday morning edition of a los angeles times aug 6th 1962 reporting marilyn monroe's death. I have yet to to find a value since it doesn't seem to exist anywhere.I have seen it in documentories but they only show the evening edition or extra. The L.A. TIMES dont have it (before they used microfilm).I found a brit newspaper for $700.Ten years ago a dallas times sold for $550 US.Do you have any idea of its value.I'm selling it in 2012.The 50th anniversary of her death will add memorabilia value.Condition is good but I think that is a non issue.Hope you can help me Laurie. Thanks, Dave Duquette

Answer
Hi Dave,

That newspaper sounds fabulous -- and I think you're right that her 50th anniversary would be a great time to sell it -- but I have no idea how much it would be worth. A person who deals in antique or well-preserved books and magazines should be able to give you a good idea of what it'll be worth.

Good luck!

Laurie
