Question how does kabbalah view death spiritually?
Answer Hi Stephanie
As you can well imagine, there are volumes of Kabbalistic writings on death and the soul's journey. Briefly, Kabbalah believes that the soul is eternal and continues to live after death. In fact, a soul feels liberated through death. As long as the soul lives in the body, it is limited to the physical perceptions of the body. Once the body dies, it releases the soul to greater spiritual realities.
Kabbalah discusses the possible pain of a soul that enters the spiritual plane and feels that it lived a misguided or unaccomplished life. Kabbalah also describes the amazing spiritual pleasure of a soul that has lived to its full potential on Earth.
Kabbalah delves deeply into the mechanics of reincarnation and believes that the souls of good people eventually return to life in the Messianic Age.
