About John Brocato
Expertise
I`ve been a fan of the team for 17years! Even though I live near St. Louis, I make one trip each year to Kauffman Stadium. I`ve also seen the team play in Milwaukee, Minneapolis, and St. Louis.

Question
Hi, John!
I'm a freelance writer researching an article on the pranks that major league baseball players play on each other.  I thought you might be able to help me out some.
Who would be considered the biggest prankster among the Royals?  Also, if you could give me the names of any players you remember getting the old "shaving cream pie in the face" during a pre-game or post-game interview, that would be great!
An odd question, I know, but any assistance you could provide would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
Jon Russell

Answer
Jon,

Probably the best prankster was Bret Saberhagen during the 1980s.  Not living in the Kansas City area, I don't get to see Royals interviewed often, so I cannot answer the shaving cream pie question.

You may be reading that Tony Muser is trying to run a looser ship this season.  I think both Sweeney and Randa may be the clubhouse leaders, trying to put a smile on Muser's face (Muser has rarely been seen smiling in five years).  By the way, Randa's nickname is the Joker.
