About John Brocato
Expertise
I`ve been a fan of the team for 17years! Even though I live near St. Louis, I make one trip each year to Kauffman Stadium. I`ve also seen the team play in Milwaukee, Minneapolis, and St. Louis.

Question
when you are scoring a baseballl game on a scorecard and the batter reaches base safely on an error, does that at-bat count as 0-1 or 0-0?

Answer
Kenny,

Unfortunately, it counts as an at-bat and the player is 0-for-1.  The one exception is if the batter is awarded first on catcher's interference.  In that case, the catcher is charged with an error and no at-bat is credited to the hitter.
