Subject: kenya shrines
Question Do u have any knowledge of a shrine in kenya, established by a woman for her son who was bitten by a snake? supposedly she felt the snake was evil and in order to for her son's soul to be at peace she had this shrine built. as time has gone by, believers have miniature pyramids built and then are placed in the shrine in order to have protection from evil powers. is there such a place? thanks.
Answer Hi Allison,
That's an interesting story! I'll ask the resident historian at my workplace to see if he knows anything about it. It is possible that there is such a shrine, but we're highly religious, and shrines are for gods, so I don't think it would have just been built up. Maybe her son was thought to be a god or a chosen one. So there has to be another story behind his birth. I'll find out for you and let you know as soon as I know more.
