Subject: Dell USB Mouse should be plug out and plug in after restarting the comp. for mouse detection

Question
OS:windows 2000 professional
Mouse : Dell optical scorll mouse connected with USB
PROBLEM:Mouse is not detecting auomatically after starting the computer.so every time plugout and plugin is requiring for detection.
so plese suggest if you know the solution for above problem.

Answer
Open Control Panel, then Hardware, then Device Manager and find "Universal Serial Bus Controller". Click the + sign to open a list of USB devices in your system.

First check for any listed device with a yellow question mark. Tell me if any have that and tell me exactly the name of the device as it is listed. Then tell me the exact name of the rest of the USB devices that do not have a problem indicator (the question mark).

Do that and maybe I can advise further.
