Question The mouse on my computer is very jumpy. Have trouble getting it to move smoothly. It sticks and I have to move it around a lot before I can get it to the point I want it to click.
Cleaned the mouse pad, helped a little. Is it okay to open the mouse to clean it? Have had it 5 years and never had to do anything to it. Do you have to replace the ball occasionally?
Am a user, not a techy. Know this question is way below your level, but would appreciate your help.
Answer Hi Linda,
You are not the first one to experience this problem, but a fact is that I had amazed people who had this problem, they were shocked to death... (ahh You will too..)
Ok, basically your rollers have to be cleaned, it is adviced you do it once in 3 weeks, but many people dont bother with it..most likly they dont know about it.
Yes it is ok to open up the mouse, go to the following link to get the details of how to clearn your mouse..with photos..
NOTE: Dont push on the rollers to hard when cleaning, if it does brake away, get back to me, and I can give you directions to put it back (It will require you to open the whole mouse apart) So we dont want to go that far.
So remember to repeat theese step atleast once a month for best performance.
