Question
I cannot access the following keys on my keyboard without using the windows onscreen keyboard(5%6^-_'~)these are the keys along the top number section.I have tried altering the language in control panel as this is a canadian/french keyboard according to the IBM website.I have tried reinstalling the drivers from their site but this makes no difference and i used to have these keys before but think i may have deleted some files.I do not have an installation disc for it.I am using windows xp and a IBM rapid access keyboard model no. KB9930.Hope you can help
  Thankyou
    Sandra

Answer
Just use 'System' in Control Panel and go to Hardware, then Device Manager. Find the keyboard and uninstall (remove) it entirely. Do a cold reboot (power off then on) and let Windows find the keyboard and install a driver for it.

If that works to your satisfaction, then fine. If not, and you cannot find a driver to download from the Internet, I would suggest that you just get a new keyboard. They are not expensive unless you get a fancy one with a jillion Internet and special keys. Most keyboards can be used with other languages if you just go into keyboard and/or system settings.

I hope this helps ... Gary
