Subject: no power to mouse/keyboard/monitor

Question
My father is having trouble with his computer.  He says that the monitor will not come on but the  green light is showing "on" on  the monitor.  His keyboard has no idicator lights lit and mouse is dead.  Has already checked plugs.  What do you think may be his problem.

Answer
Hi beth:

Oh boy..  Could be the power supply, drivers gone missing BIG time or a motherboard that decided to go to the big repair depot in the sky.

Does he get ANYTHING when he starts his computer?

As much as I hate suggesting this, I suspect he may have to have it checked by a tech just in case it is in need of some major repairs.

Sorry and good luck,
Murray
