Question Hi i am a 14 year old kick boxing enthusiast ive been doing it for a few years now and i have just started doing the intermediate adult classes and i cant always go. so i was wondering what would be a great training schedule for when i am at home and bored? I am looking from anywhere from 1-2 hours. Thank you!
Answer Orin,
What's wrong with going to the beginner adult class when/if you can't make the intermediate adult class?
That way you can always keep your basic skills sharp.
Also, your at-home workout can/should be the same as your class workout. Just substitute any partner stuff you do with heavybag work (if you have one) or a wavemaster.
If you don't have any equipment at home then you may just have to make do with shadowboxing.
Truth be told, unless you have home equipment it's difficult to duplicate your class workout.
You could also look into working on something different on the days you can make it to class.
Maybe you could work on your flexibility and endurance and strength on those days, so you give your body a rest from the same activity.
After all, there is a thing called overuse syndrome.
I hope this helps.
Keep up the good work. It sounds like you are a true enthusiast and you should go far!
