Kickboxing - Medical Benefits of thai-boxing

Expert: Dwight Woods - 10/15/2009

Question
Hello Dwight. I am thinking of starting Muay-thai boxing, and I was wondering if you could tell me a bit about the physical/medical benefits of this workout?

Best regards - Nicklas

Answer
Nicklas,
Good for you starting Muay Thai.
When it's well taught Muay Thai provides strength training through calisthenics; flexibility training through stretching; power and endurance training through intense repetition of techniques and a lot more than I can think of this early in the morning.
Quite simply it's some of the best training you'll ever find in martial art.
My best wishes to you.
Regards,
Dwight Woods
