Answer
Hi Swisser,

I actually do let my kids read online because we have cable access so it doesn't really matter how long they are online.  I guess I forgot what it is like to have dialup.  It has been over three years since I had to use the phone line. What I used to do was use Callwave a program that let me know if I had a phonecall and then I would answer the call.  I was online all the time then too but my connection was much slower!

I hope this helps.  The other thing is that some of these places might offer downloads but you will have to look for them.  Check out this site to see if they have some downloadable books; http://www.lil-fingers.com/storybooks/index.html.

Goodluck,
Candace
