Question My wife want the outlets in our kitchen remodel to be under the cabinets instead of in the wall. Any suggestions other than plugmold?
Thanks for the help
Answer John,
I will try to describe an option that is much easier to draw. I have no ability to send pictures via AllExperts.
I would install a light rail molding that hangs down along the front of the cabinet. From that I would install a shelf that returns to the wall. This will create a "chase" that you can run wires and install a shallow electrical box. This would also be an ideal time to install undercabinet lighting. The chase will conceal wiring and give a nice finished look. It takes some patience to install, but is worth the extra effort and time.
Be certain to check your local codes so that you can do all wiring up to standards.
