Subject: countertop material choice

Question
I would like to replace a 48 1/2" X 120" solid core laminate countertop, preferable with a seamless material. I would prefer a solid white, maybe with some texture for interest, although it has to be easily cleanable. I can't seem to come up with anything in that size, but feel a seam would really ruin the effect. It would be nice if the new material would just fit over the old without having to remove what's there. Any ideas? Thanks.

Answer
Rubye,

Based on what you described I would look at Corian.  It would have a seam, but most seam are are very hard to find in Corian, even when looking.  And if you are using a white with no pattern, it will be even better.

This would require the old top coming off, but then you get the benefit of the 15 year product warranty from Dupont.

Hope this helps.

Thanks,
