Subject: kitchen undermount sink

Question
Hi Craig,
I currently have an undermount double-bowl sink in my kitchen.  After moving in and using it, I realized that it was too small for my needs and am very unhappy with it.  I would like to replace it with a single bowl undermount stainless steal or granite sink.  Is this possible?  What could this possibly cost me?  If this is possible, how do I start my search for the right person to replace the sink?  Please help.

Joanne

Answer
Joanne,

In many cases this can be done.  You will need to find a local granite fabricator to do the work.  Preferable your original installer.  I can't quote a price for them, but it will not be inexpensive.  Chances are they will have to remove the top to facilitate install, cutting and polishing for the new sink.

Good luck with your project,

Craig Alan Berberich
