Question I found this wonderful Americast sink in hopes of having it installed into my new granite countertops, It was sold as undermount or overmount but the granite guy says it won't work. I am still not sure I understand why. I shopped for what I considered to be a very similar sink but it has extra large fixture holes which he says it why it will work. I really liked my orginally purchased sunk a lot more than the new purchase so what I am wondering is......Can you cut into an Americast sink without damaging it too much. ie making bigger hooes or cutting off the back piece with the holes
Answer Hi
I'm not sure why it will not work, if you can send me a picture of the sink I will be able to help you better, anyway if the installers notice that will not work, so it may really will not work!
Cut an ironcast sink is hard for us "granite people" but not for some one specialist in metal and stuff, so try to get a guy to cut it for you, before ask the granite guys if after you cut the sink if it will work!
