AboutWilliam Spaan Expertise Kitchen remodeling, design, and repairs are my forte. I am able to field questions about
cabinets, counter tops, tile, flooring, lighting, plumbing, and all phases of a remodel.
Experience I am a Licensed General Contractor (NC) and have been remodeling homes for over thirty years.
Education/Credentials The undergraduate degree in english I hold does little to help me install cabinets. The thirty years plus attending the SH of K (School of Hard Knocks) in home repair and construction
allows me to claim Master status.
Question My wife dropped a large kettle on the front left outside edge of our kitchen sink. A small piece cracked but the bottom is still being held in place by the caulking. I can pull the cracked piece gently back and push it back in place. You can't see the crack if you put pressure on it. Is there a good glue I can use to hold the cracked piece in place? The piece that's cracked is 3/8ths high and 1 inch wide.
Thanks,
Mike
Answer Mike,
I am unable to offer a solution that will "work". I would probably try to call or e-mail Kohler and ask for sugestions or repair products they might sell. If that fails I would probably try a small amount of "liquid steel" a glue like repair product designed for cast iron and if sink is white I would try some white silicon to fill repair line. Good Luck.
