Knitting - Casting on Stitches

Expert: Carol Forbes - 10/7/2009

Question
I cast on stitches then knitted 21 stitches from a stitch holder and now I need to cast on more stitches.  I don't know how to do that!  How do I cast on after I knitted so my work is now on my right needle?  Thank you!

Answer
One way is to increase multiple stitches at the beginning of a row is to knit into the first stitch and then slip it back onto the needle, then knit into this stitch and slip it back onto the needle, etc. etc.

Another way to do a multiple increase at the start of a row is to wrap the yarn around your finger, slip the needle into that loop and pull taunt and repeat.
