AboutLesley Arnold-Hopkins Expertise I can answer questions on all types of knitting on needles (ie not loom knitting) including Fairisle, intarsia, lace and basic knitwear design. I can also answer on crochet, including tapestry crochet, but I do not have sufficient knowledge of toys or stuffed animals to call myself an expert.
Experience I've been knitting and crocheting for over 35 years. In that time I have made a variety of items, incorporating a range of stitch techniques and have designed my own garments. I have had patterns published in the UK (crochet and knitting) and teach both crafts.

Question Hi Christine,
I am knitting a scarf that has snoopy dog going up the scarf, now that I am about to carry on doing the rest of the scarf how do I make the snoopy dogs going the other side so they are facing each other and not upside down, a big challenge here not sure how to make this work as when you put the scarf around your neck they have to be going the right way??? Thanks for any help you can give me, Barb
Answer Hello Barbara,
I'm not Christine, but I picked this up from the question pool and I hope that I can help
I would recommend that you draw out the reversed pattern on a piece of graph paper, or re-write the instructions, to make it easier to knit from.
You will need to reverse your pattern top to bottom and left to right. I will try to demonstrate what I mean.
For example if your pattern was 30 stitches wide and 20 rows deep, and row 1 was K5 in main colour, K10 in contrast colour, K15 in main colour, then row 20 of your reversed pattern would be K15 in main, K10 in contrast and K5 in main.
Similarly if Row 2 of the original was P4 Main, P17 Contrast, P9 Main, then row 19 of your reversed pattern would be P9 Main, P17 Contrast, P4 Main.
I hope that this makes sense, but please come back to me if anything is unclear. Good luck with the scarf - Snoopy sounds great!
