About Samantha Hilver
Expertise I can answer any questions related to hand knitting. I'm very familiar with all sorts of stitches and techniques and can help troubleshoot or get you through sticky spots when it comes to figuring out a pattern or figuring out how to write your own.
Experience I've been knitting since the seventh grade and although I'm perfectly capable of following a pattern I prefer to free-style most of my work.
Education/Credentials I've taught myself how to knit from countless library and second-hand books and help from friends and relatives, but I've never taken a knitting class.

Knitting - Loom knitting sizing question
Expert: Samantha Hilver - 10/18/2009
Question I don't know if you know anything about loom knitting, but maybe you can point me in the right direction if you don't, because there seems to be no loom knitting category though there are a lot of old archived questions on loom knitting.
Now, how do I convert a loom knitting pattern using one size loom to the next size bigger loom?
I have a pattern for a beret made on the red Knifty Knitter loom, and I want to know how to convert it to make it on the next size bigger green Knifty Knitter loom.
Would I increase the number of rows in the body? How exactly does this work?
Answer I'm thinking you're on the right track with the rows in body but it's not really my area of expertise. You can check with Deborah Mason, another knitting expert, or if worst comes to worst, a knifty knitter loom is only about 10 dollars, usually less.
Good luck, sorry I wasn't much help!
Sam
