About Lesley Arnold-Hopkins
Expertise
I can answer questions on all types of knitting on needles (ie not loom knitting) including Fairisle, intarsia, lace and basic knitwear design. I can also answer on crochet, including tapestry crochet, but I do not have sufficient knowledge of toys or stuffed animals to call myself an expert.

Experience
I've been knitting and crocheting for over 35 years. In that time I have made a variety of items, incorporating a range of stitch techniques and have designed my own garments. I have had patterns published in the UK (crochet and knitting) and teach both crafts.

Education/Credentials
BA(Hons)Open (not related to knitting or crochet, but shows my highest level of education)

Question
Hi Leslie,
I tried to send a follow up but would not work so here is another question for the one you answered me yesterday, I did rework the pattern reversing left to right, I did try this working from top down but snoopy was facing wrong side, and I did try your suggestion of reversing top to bottom, and then snoopy is upside down, what am I doing wrong, as it is a scarf so when put around your neck I want snoopy to be looking at each other, I hope you know what I mean, I was thinking maybe only way for this to work is if I  jus t start at the bottom for the other side and using the reverse pattern and work to match first side then have a join at the back neck, what do you think?? Many thanks for answering me back  Barb

Answer
Hello Barb,

I'm sorry that this didn't seem to work.

You could certainly do as you suggest, start again from the bottom and join the scarf in the middle, but might this mean that both your Snoopies are facing the same way? I think that you wanted them to face each other?

Presumably, when you knitted the first half, you started at his feet and worked up to his head. So to work the other half, you just have to start at his head and work down to his feet.

I think the best suggestion that I can offer is that you draw out the pattern on graph paper (a mirror image of your original, so that the two Snoops face each other). Instead of working up the pattern, you will be, instead, working down it towards his feet.

This will hopefully result in a matching pair of Snoopies!

I hope that this helps, please come back to me if anything is unclear.

Thanks

Lesley
