Knitting - binding off front and back together

Expert: Frances Rhea - 5/12/2009

Question
I am knitting a baby sweater, the directions are to put the front sides on one needle and the back on the other. With the right sides facing, I am suppose to bind off the stitches together (one from the front and one from the back).  How do I do this?

Answer
Here is a page that shows how to bind off:

The process will be the same, only instead of just picking up the one stitch as indicated, pick up one from the front and one from the back. Then work the two stitches together as one.
