Question
how do you know what ply a ball of wool is when the label only has
the brand & no ply

Answer
Hi Carrol,

You can count the number of wraps per inch.  What you do is to get a ruler and wrap the yarn around it.  Then you count the number of wraps that cover an inch on the ruler.
