Question
My pattern says:-

Work 4 rows dec 1 st at armhole edge in every row AT SAME TIME dec 1 st at neck edge in next and every foll alt row.
51 sts

I am knitting the left front in st-st, so the armhole edge is on a knit row and the neck edge is on a purl row.

Please tell me what I should do for the next 4 rows.

Thanks,
Tracy

Answer
row 1 (a knit row) Knit 1, knit 2 together (decrease 1) knit to end of row (neck edge).
row 2  purl 1, purl 2 together, purl to last 3 stitches, purl 2 together (s
decrease 2 at armhole edge), purl 1.
row 3 Knit 1, knit 2 together (decrease 3 armhole edge), knit to end of row.
row 4 purl 1, purl 2 together, purl to last 3 stitches, purl 2 together ( decrease 4 on armhole edge) purl 1.

rows 5, 7 , 9 etc decrease on neck edge only until 51 stitches remain.
