Knitting - Beginer at Crocheting

Question
When I get my first row done i don't know how to double back.

Answer
Tammy,

After you have finished a row you need to turn your work so it faces the other direction. Then you need to make some chain stitches according to the type of stitch you are crocheting. Example:

single crochet - chain 1
half double crochet - chain 2
double crochet - chain 3
triple crochet - chain 4

Treat this chain as the first stitch in your new row. The top of the perivious row will have 'v' shape marks or 'bunny ears' going across. You hook your yarn under this marks and continue crocheting across until you come to the end of the row. Turn your work and repeat.

I hope this helps.
