About Kent
Expertise
Besides being a devoted fan of the 2nd longest-running drama in television history, I am a screenwriter and specialize in character development. From the first time I watched the show, I loved how the characters were very much individual but also how well they related to each other. The storylines and plot twists only added to a well-seasoned cast. It`s no wonder this show was loved by so many. I`ve enjoyed watching the re-runs countless times and have also joined several websites and clubs to further discuss the show and its stars. I consider myself an `expert` and will do my best to answer all your inquiries.

Experience
Besides watching the entire series several times, I've written for a few Knots Landing fan websites, studied the actors and actresses that brought the characters to life each week and gathered information for my own personal use.

Question
I  still adore this show.  These characters became family to me.
I know that the fellow who played Frank died in reality yet I do not remeber an explanation as to where the character went.  Any ideas?
Also,if Gregg Sumner and Claudia Whitiker were siblings how is it that Claudia's son(can't  remember his name)was Gregg's half brother?  Were'nt Ruth and Paul Galvaston parents to Gregg and Claudia?
Just one of those things  that have bothered me for years.
Hope you can help.

Answer
Hi Dwight and hope you had happy holidays. I agree, Knots became family to me, i knew each character better than my own family. Now let's get down to knots......

When actor Larry Riley (who played Frank Williams) died in real life, I believe his character was explained away at being so distraught after the death of his on screen wife, Pat. (Remember Val's crazy husband Danny, ran her over with his car)  Supposedly Frank was so upset, he couldn't deal with living in that house that Pat died in. He and Julie moved away.
Your next question has puzzled me as well. From what I can gather, Claudia and Greg were half brother and sister. They shared the same mother but not the same father. When Claudia was younger she was seduced by Paul Galveston and as a result of that affair, she bore a son Steve Brewer (played by Lance Guest). Hence Greg's secret brother.   I've also wondered why Claudia was never mentioned when Greg's mother (played by legend Ava Gardner) came to visit and terrorize poor Laura.  LOL
Don't forget to get the KNOTS LANDING dvd coming out in March of this year.
