Hi Jen,

(I need an honest girl's opinion here, and I appreciate your time and I apologize for the lengthy question, but I need to know.)  

So I met this girl about a year ago at a church dance. I got to know her very well, but I didn't have the guts to ask for her number. I never expected to see her again. About 6 months down the road, I saw her at her work and it was a BIG surprise for me. I know we talked for a little bit and went well but that's all I remember. At a Halloween dance just a few days ago that I was invited to by some friends, it turns out that she was there! We were both in costumes, but I recognized who she was. I went up to her and she remembered me. We talked for a little bit, exchanged numbers, and started texting. She's about 20, and I'm 22. What is she saying behind the message in her texts?  (M)Me (H)Her

This is the day after the Halloween dance:

M=Hi Chelbi! It's Devin (Jack Sparrow) thought I'd send ya a text so you have my number :)

H=Thanks! Your costume was pretty good!

M=Haha, your welcome and thanks. I liked your witch zombie costume, it was pretty awesome. Do you still work at the district?

H=Haha funny. Yes I do. Where do you work?

M=Sweet! I work part time for a restaraunt downtown, it's so fun!

H=Oh wow! That's way cool! So do you drive there or take trax?  

M=I drive there, sometimes mornings can be rough on the freeway. I used to take the bus, but it got too expensive so I stopped. When do you usually work?

H=It depends on when they schedule me.

M=Oh okay, cool. When are you usually free? We should hang out sometime.

H=I work only a couple days a week. It's a lowzy job. And I work friday or sat usually.

M=Sweet, sounds good!

H=Okay, cool:)

This was just yesterday:

M=Hey! Do you work late on friday night by chance?

H=So you wanna hangout with a zombie?

M=That is...if you can resist Capt. Jack Sparrow! lol. My work staff is eating at the pie pizza place fri @ 9. I've never eaten there, do you want to go?

H=Me either. Hmm I don't know what's going on fri.

M=I heard its pretty tasty. Do you know what time you work that night?

H=I work til 5, but I don't know what's going on after that.

M=Okay sounds good. Just let me know when you find out. We'll have to do something the following week if you've got stuff going on :)

H=Haha why do you wanna do something with me?

M=Cuz I figured we could catch up since its been awhile.

H=Haha since we met at that dance?

M=No, do you remember when we first met at that dance last year?

H=Yeah that's what I'm talking about.

M=Yeah that's the one! I can't believe that was a year ago.

H=Wow time flys for sure!

M=Totally! I couldn't recognize you at first, but when I got closer I couldn't help but ask, and it was you!

H=You mean sat?

M=Yep, haha.

H=Yeah it was way hard to recognize you too. Haha!

M=Haha! I'm sure it was! We'll just let me know if ya wanna go with me on friday. I need to go to bed I have to work tomorrow :(

H=Okay will do. Have a good night.

M=You too!

Hi Devin! From her texts and what you've told me it sounds like you guys get along well, and there's a hint of chemistry going on, but by what she said, it sounds like she's just playing it safe for now, until she really gets to know you. She's open to you, but isn't ready to just jump into everything at once with you yet. Give her some time but continue what you're doing. It seems to be working. Hope this helps.
