Question I would like to know how you can know with little doubt whether a girl really does like you or is just being friendly. I have had a few situations where I have been wrong only creating confusion and regret.
I am thinking I am heading into a similar situation at my work with a girl whom works on the shift oposite mine. Now because of this we have not talked a lot but when I do see her she usually lights up and says hi. If she is not going somewhere she will usually talk to me but it is usually about what job we may have on that day. Other than that there is no other contact and if I we see each other it is usually a coincidence such as her just coming from the employees lounge as I am entering. Otherwise it is me coming to see her at her workstation.

Thank you for allowing me to answer your question. There never a sure way to know if a person likes you, one just has to try to figure out if they do based on signals. Based on what you've told me, the fact of her liking you could go either way. It's going to be difficult to watch for signs if she's on a totally opposite shift. I can only suggest that you try to get to know her whenever possible until you feel comfortable enough to ask her more personal questions, like if she has boyfriend or not and go from there.
