Question
We'll be visiting Knoxville the first week in August for a couple of
days.  Any recommendations about eating?  Thanks.

Answer
Here's a few that I really like:

Baker Peter's Jazz Club
http://www.bakerpetersjazzclub.com/

Johnny Carino's
http://www.carinos.com/

The Tomato Head

Macleod's

I would definately recommend that you take the time to visit Market Square in downtown. It's beautiful, it gives you a chance to get a real feel for Knoxville and there's lots and lots of shops and restaurants.
And of course I have to recommend that you visit The Olive Garden on Kingston Pike....since my husband works there :) Ask for John.
I really hope that helps and if you need anymore information at all on anything at all feel more than free to contact me again. I hope you have a terrific visit to Knoxville...I think you're going to like it here.
