Hi. I live in New Delhi, India and am very much interested in learning Kung Fu since my childhood. I have been searching hard, but have not been able to find any teacher in New Delhi. Would you be able to help or guide me in the right direction please?

Dear Abhishek,
  I do not personally know of anyone teaching in New Delhi but there are different paths you can take.  Decades ago I wanted to study classical sitar in Philadelphia which is as about as culturally removed from Philly as kung fu may be in New Delhi.  I advertised in University newspapers and put signs up in the Indian community.  Believe it or not I found a classically trained teacher who studied in Calcutta.  I would suggest that you check out the schools in your area along with any Chinese community centers that might exist in the city.  If there is something like a craigslist.org in your area I would use that too.  I also strongly recommend that you read "The Sword Polisher's Record" by Adam Hsu so you understand what a real kung fu sifu is like and what a real style is about.
 Also, magazines like Inside Kung Fu do have directories of schools in different areas so investigate that too.  Good luck to you.
