Question I remember vaguely reading in the Toronto newspapers about the cancellation of LFN after season 4. What exactly did the fans do to bring back the show for 8 episodes in season 5? And it was wonderful to see everyone return for the brief season. Did they (cast and crew) know in advance that they would only be filming eight episodes or was there a possiblity that there may have been a full season? Any more news on a DVD release for season 5?

The fans protested like crazy! We sent mail, email, and bought a full-page ad in a magazine. Some people sent sunglasses because they were Nikita's signature look. Others sent televisions &/or VCRs...because without Nikita on TV they no longer needed them!
The cast did know that they were only filming 8 episodes.
No news yet on season 5, but I expect we'll hear about it shortly after season 4 gets released in July.
