Question
i have ms, and recently had strep throat and uti, im am on darvocet, zoloft, zantac, flexriel, celebrexand copoxane for my ms,i was testing false positive for thc and benzos,is it the meds or my infection thanks barb

Answer
Hi Barbara.  Of the list of the medications you are taking, Flexeril seems to be the one that may be causing the false positive.  It is not a benzodiazepine, but it's in a similar class of drugs.  THC is essentially marijuana.  If you falsely tested positive for these two things, the doctor/lab can do a more specific test.  Usually the initial drug test isn't as accurate.
