Question I have been ill off and on for quite some time now.
I am presently being treated for high blood pressure.I do not drink nor do drugs.......smoke cigarettes on occasion,but trying to kick the habit completely.
I am often nausias,feel like I will vomit whenever I eat, doesnt matter what it is.I have a rise in my white blood cell count and my sedrate level lately has been at 70. I have had plenty of blood tests and a ultrasound of the abdomnom. They have rulled out an ulcer,but agree with me that there is definately something going on....weight loss of ave 3 lbs per week.Sometimes I run a fever,but not always.They have just stared me on pain meds that I only take to sleep so I can function during the day.My pain is mostly on the right side....the whole side,but sometimes it goes straight through to my back.sometimes mild sometimes severe to where i question going to the hospital.
Any ides would be helpful, I am feeling at a loss,new to the area here....and just dont know if the dr is on the right track.I am having a mri today....so maybe that can give some answeres, but I am wondering if this is something I should be more concerned about than what my dr seems to be.

I would ask your doctor if you have been tested for inflammatory disorders, since you have a high sed rate. How old are you? Are you 50 or older? If so, you might want to check out this site:
It talks about a disease called Polymyalgia Rheumatica. You do have some of the symptoms of the disease. That doesn't mean you have the disease, though. You might even read the information and find it doesn't sound like what you are experiencing at all. If it is similiar, you might mention it to your doctor.
Sorry I couldn't be of more help. I'm sure your doctor will eventually figure what the problem is. It's frustrating, but sometimes it takes awhile to get things figured out.
