About Joe
Expertise
I do not know much about the rules or the technical sides of the game, but I can give information on all equipment, handles, heads, helmets, and some stringing styles.

Experience
Due to the lack of teams in my area during my school years, I have never played. I have worked for a major retailer for 7 years. I manage the operations now, but I have done everything from sales to stringing (limited to mesh).

Question
hi i am going into 9th grade and will be trying out for my highschool team. I have no team experience but i have had a lacrosse stick all my life. I am good with catching and throwing and running so i am going to try for middie.
I wanted a good stick so i ended up buying a brine clutch with a warrior krptolite shaft.
I Got duramesh for the pocket.
i am going to sign up at a place so i can get training to become more familiar with the game.
I have not yet got my stick it is at the shop but i answered questions about stringing that i didn't know what i was answering.
Is my combo good for middie/attack and i got 3 across instead of the v's for my stringing if that makes sence to anyone. I don't know if what i have is good for middie.
please answer
thanks

Answer
Nick,
I think the Clutch with a Kryptolite is an excellent combination. They are both lightweight and durable. As far as the shooting strings, it depends on what you have now. I prefer the two across and a "V", but that is how most of my sticks are strung. I feel it gives me more accurate passes and shots. If your old stick is strung with three across, and you like the feel of it, I would stick with it. If you really have no preference, I would see if they can change it to a "V" for you. I think you will like the way it performs. Good luck in your tryouts this year, and I hope you have a great season.

Thanks,
Joe
