Lacrosse - Defense head

Question
I am trying to find a good quality, durable head designed for (long stick) defense for my 11th grade son.  (If it maters, he's 6'1" 180 lbs.)  he plays varsity, so at a relatively serious level.  he has a straight stick right now.  We have a credit with a specific vendor, which has recommended the "new Brine Edge X" over the "Reebok 6K", which it has in stock at the most convenient store to us.  We had picked up the "Gait Wizard", which the vendor also had recommended.  My son seems to think it's yesterday's technology and, although somehow I doubt there's much difference, I thought i'd get some more suggestions.  The other option would be to visit a different store with a broader selection.  If the Brine Edge X (or even the gait) aren't good options, I'd go to the other store.  Any suggestions beyond these? question,

Answer
     Dusty,
For a defensive head I would suggest the Warrior Revo 2.0. It is very stiff which is a must for defenders and also has a nice pinch to provide good ball control and accuracy on clears. One big suggestion I have is to buy the stick unstrung and have it custom strung. Factory stringing is terrible and can really affect your son's play. I would send the stick to be custom strung by the professionals at ZB Lacrosse Company. You can visit their website at www.zblax.com to see all the different types of pockets they offer. They also offer dyes if you want to customize your stick further. Their customer service, pocket quality, and prices is unmatched anywhere else on the market. Before purchasing your head, you may want to email them at zblaxcompany@gmail.com as they do sell select heads and may have a Revo 2.0 in stock.

Hope this helps and feel free to ask if you have any further questions.

Thanks,
Zander
