Lacrosse/Stringing

QuestionHi my name is Jake and I play short-pole defensive-middie. I am wondering what is the best stringing system to have for my position. How many shooting strings? How many hard strings?
Thanks.
Answer Jake,
It is really a matter of opinion but I would go with a regular hard mesh pocket. It is the most popular and consistent mesh on the market for a reason. When strung correctly, it will provide you with good hold and a great pocket. It will also have a nice smooth release and break-in nicely. I would go with a middle pocket for the perfect balance of hold and quick release along with two straight shooting strings and a U string.
Having said all this, it is very important that the stick is strung by someone who knows what they are doing or else it is all pointless. I would send the stick to be custom strung by the professionals at ZB Lacrosse Company. You can visit their website at www.zblax.com to see all the different types of pockets they offer (click on the stringing styles/dyes tab). They also offer dyes if you want to customize your stick further. Their customer service, pocket quality, and prices are unmatched anywhere else on the market.
Hope this help and feel free to ask if you have any further questions.
Thanks,
Zander
