Lacrosse - Warrior Spyne And Swizzbeat

Expert: Zander Berlinski - 6/17/2009

Question
Hi
I wanted to know if the Brine Swizzbeat Fits on The Warrior Spyne?  I play Defense.  I don't have a long pole but I am going to get in in 7th or 8th grade.  Do you think that is a good defensive stick.

Answer
    Eric,
The Warrior Spyne will fit on the Brine Swizzbeat but the holes may not line up since they are made by different companies. You may just have to drill another hole so that the head and shaft line up. That sounds like a good defensive stick to me but I would go with the Warrior Krypto Pro over the Brine Swizzbeat. It is lighter and stronger, a much better buy.

Remember that how a head preforms depends greatly on how it is strung. Factory stringing (the stringing that comes with heads when you buy them strung) is terrible and can affect your play. I would suggest getting your stick strung by the experts at ZB Lacrosse Company ( www.zblax.com ). They offer amazing quality pockets, low prices, and great customer service. Visit their site and click on stringing styles/dyes to see all the pockets they offer. They will string it up to whatever specifications/colors you want and make sure it preforms how it should. If you have any questions at all email them at zblaxcompany@gmail.com and I am sure they will be more than willing to help you. You may also want to email them before purchasing your stick as they do sell select custom strung heads and equipment.

Hope this helps and feel free to ask if you have any further questions.

Thanks,
Zander
