Question
Im an 8 grader going into high school and i play midfeild and I was wondering wether I should get the STX X3, Brine Clutch, or the Proton power. I had some problems with my last head with throwing. My head (Cyber Pro) would sometimes throw to high or it would have a lot of whip and almost hit the ground so I realy want a head that throws well and can catch. I live in Seattle so its wet a lot up here.

Answer
     Dimitris,
Once you begin to talk about the top of the line heads, it is all a matter of preference. Having said that, I would go with the Brine Clutch as I believe it is the best overall head out of all of those. Its nice pinch will provide good ball retention and accuracy. However, the problem you are having with how your stick preforms has little to do with the head but instead the stringing. How your stick is strung greatly affects how it preforms. One big suggestion I have is to buy the stick unstrung and have it custom strung. Factory stringing (the stringing that comes on sticks when you buy them "strung") is terrible and can really affect your play. I would send the stick to be custom strung by the professionals at ZB Lacrosse Company. You can visit their website at www.zblax.com to see all the different types of pockets they offer (click on the stringing styles/dyes tab). Since you live up in Seattle and play in wet conditions take a look at their different types of composite mesh, which are made out of composite yarn which do not absorb water, thus making them perfect for bad weather. As far as I know they are the only company that offers custom stringing with this composite mesh. They also offer dyes if you want to customize your stick further. Their customer service, pocket quality, and prices are unmatched anywhere else on the market. Before purchasing your head, you may want to email them at zblaxcompany@gmail.com as they do sell select heads and may have a Clutch in stock.

Hope this helps and feel free to ask if you have any further questions.

Thanks,
Zander
