Question I have the onyx r705 d pole, which is incredibly strong, yet a little heavy. I am a freshman in high school, and will probably start on jv. My budget is about 140-150 at the most. Which do you think is the best shaft for me? I have no prefererence in company, so long as it is light and fairly strong, not nessessarily indestructable, but strong enough to last a season or two.
Answer Hey there Cam. My best recommendation is to go Titanium. Now, I know you said your budget is 140-150 but you're only looking for that to last a season or two. My suggestion is that if you save up, or beg your parents, if you go titanium you probably won't buy another shaft for all of high school. Or going into your junior year you can buy another one and have two.
I have always recommended titanium. The problem with anything less is that they can bend or even break so easily you may end up buying three shafts in a season. Don't bother. Go Ti and you won't have to worry.
