About Scott Talbot Expertise I am familiar with the local geography, tourist attractions, industry and culture. I live in Lancaster, and, if I do not have the answer to a question, I could easily find someone local who does.
Experience I have lived in Lancaster my entire life. I grew up here, attended school here, worked here, got married here, am rearing my son here. This is my home.

Question we are looking for a place to get married. we want an outdoor wedding with an outdoor reception ... a grassy field with some trees perhaps with some space and away from immediate public view. perhaps with a farmhouse or something we could rent in case of foul weather. preferably nothing too lavish - we're simple and not looking to spend a fortune. do you have any suggestions for us?
Answer Hi, Alex!
There are a lot of nice places in and around Lancaster to hold a wedding.
First, you might check some of the local parks--Long's Park, Rockford Plantation, Lancaster County Parks, etc. Call (717) 299-8215, and they should be able to help.
Here are the names of some wedding consultants in the area: Lifetime Memories (717) 898-3722; Weddings by Paulette (717) 872-7192; and Willow Valley Resort (717) 464-2711.
Another idea is Nissly Winery at (717) 429-3514.
If you need further help, check with the Pennsylvania Dutch Convention & Visitors Bureau at (717) 299-8901, or at www.padutchcountry.com.
I hope this puts you in the right direction. Best wishes!
