Question Hi Scott. What is there to do on a Sunday besides the Fulton Theater? I'm staying in Churchtown but dont mind driving? How about Mondays? Can I eat dinner with an Amish Family on Monday night?

Answer Hi, Dede!
Unfortunately, a lot of businesses are closed around here on Sundays. There are, however, movie theaters, shopping malls, outlets, miniature golf, a few parks (nice for picnics, frisbee, and feeding the ducks), drives in the country, some good restaurants, some great antiques in Adamstown, etc., that are open on Sundays.
On Monday? Tour the Landis Valley Museum (Colonial era buildings and lifestyle), visit an Amish Farm, take a tour, visit Kitchen Kettle Village in Intercourse, go to Strasburg and ride the railroad, then stop by the general store for some of the world's best homemade ice cream, shop at the quaint stores in Lititz, go see a production at Sight & Sound Studios in Strasburg, etc.
As far as eating dinner with an Amish family, that's unlikely. However, you can eat Amish food in a restaurant where they employ some Amish workers. Some of the better ones include Dienner's Country Restaurant, 2855 Lincoln Hwy East, Soudersburg; Good 'n' Plenty Restaurant, Route 896, Smoketown; Plain & Fancy Farm, Route 340, Bird-in-Hand; and
Shady Maple Smorgasbord, Route 23, Blue Ball.
