Subject: Discovery 2000 clutch problem

Question
Hi John, I got a Discovery 2000 TD52000, clutch became hard to depress and it is hurting my knees. Will appreciate any help to solve .
Thanks
Raul

Answer
The short answer is, you need a new clutch.  Odds are 9 to 1 that's your trouble.

The longer answer is that the release bearing may be binding on the collar it slides on, and they should look at that when they do the clutch job.  But it's all inside, so it amounts to the same thing in terms of parts and labor
