Question Hi, I was recently on a road trip, when about 10 miles after a fill up, suddenly my beloved Disco started hesitating, bogging and pre-ignition pinging. My scanner gave the codes p0305, p1300, p1319, p0308. I was able to figure out the cylinders 5 and 8 misfires, but what do the other codes indicate? I thought I may have gotten a bad tank of fuel, but this probelm persists. Is it MAF? Clogged injectors? Fouled plugs/plug wire? I'm baffled. Thanks for your help.
Moe
Answer Hi Moe,
sounds like the MAF could be faulty but it could be a number of other faults - CKP sensor, or TPS (less likely). Whatever it is, the codes indicate you may be damaging your catalytic convertor with excess fuel waste.
I suggest you have the problem diagnosed by a Testbook. Find an independent LR mechanic to save money or go to the dealer for expediency sake and get this problem fix asap.
