Question hi i have a 5door freelander.year 00 diesl.my tail gate door wont open.the window goes up and down from switch inside near dash board.tried unlocking/locking.any ideas?the rest of the doors work .
Answer Hi Pamela,
it could very well be the tail door latch that's seized. Latch problems are common. You'll have to remove the tail door panel, plastic cover, and then either try to lub/clean the latch mechanism. If that fails, you'll need to remove the latch and either bench test it or replace it. Getting the door open is the hard part and I suggest you get an expert to help.
