Question
i have a 97 range rover 4.0 se its overheating its not the thermostat it only seems to overheat when i start to drive, i dont believe its the head gasket cause theres no oil or coolant mixing anywhere and it runs smooth, the water pump is new i havent the clue im getting codes p0300

Answer
Hi Eric,

codes show you are having massive misfires being detected.  Check your wiring and plugs first before you go any further.  Gap, connection between plug and wires, coil, distributor ... all can cause this.  Could there be a temperature sensor failure ? - its possible.  How about the oil circulation?

Best of luck,

JohnMc
