Question Dear John,
I have a freelander 2. It can not be start with the warning:low coolant level. Pls help advise what the reason? If i need to add some cooling oil?

Answer Hi Karl,
Have you checked the coolant level? If you have the correct level of coolant, it is possible that the level sensor is faulty. It's also possible that there could be a problem within the coolant system. Air is the usual culprit but just in case, consider having your cooling system pressure tested. LR engines are notorious for having blown headgaskets.
You could try disconnecting the negative cable on your battery for a few seconds. When you reattach the cable, you might be able to clear any false readings and start your engine. You will probably have to reenter the security code.
